Belgium

Category: Belgium

Belgium is nestled between Germany, France and The Netherlands. Its population speaks three languages – Dutch (Flemish), French and German.  It’s capital, Brussels, is at the forefront of politics and is the headquarters of the European Union (EU).  This quarter is made up of many buildings that house the 27 countries in the Union.

From the busy capital, to the quaint town of Bruges and its port city Antwerp, Brussels is a beautiful country for a solo traveller to explore. It has Renaissance architecture, ancient churches, and many canals that run through the cities.   And let’s not forget Brussels main export – chocolate!  With many blends, shapes and sizes, Brussels is heaven for those with a ‘sweet tooth’.
