Pisa is the city that’s home to the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Erected on soft ground, the tower began to tilt to one side during its construction. Since then, it’s become a popular place with tourists who want to take photos holding the tower up. But it’s not just the leaning tower to see in this city in the Tuscan region – it’s also home to other historic buildings; the Duomo – a medieval cathedral, St. John Baptistery (Battistero); Camposanto – a cemetery. The beautiful Arno River also flows through the city.
