As the largest island in Greece, Crete is a popular tourist destination with great all year round weather. There capital city is Heraklion. The island is over 250km long and has a coastline of more than 1000 kilometres. It has three main mountain ranges; the White Mountains (Lefka Ori), The Ida (Psiloritis), and the Dikti Range.
Made up of four main areas — Chania, Heraklion, Rethymnon and Agios Nikolaos — You’ll need more than a few days to explore this island. Possibly more than one visit!
