Porto is often the other city that you’ll hear about when people mention Portugal. It’s known for its wine valleys, cobbled streets and seafood dishes like Bacalhau com Natas or Pasteis de Bacalhau. Porto has a very different vibe compared to the city life of Lisbon. It’s very calm and chilled.
You can choose to stay in the historical centre or on the other side of the Douro river in Villa Nova de Gaia, using the famous Dom Luís Bridge to cross into the city.
