Miradouro Torel is almost hidden away from the bustle of the main centre in Lisbon. It’s also near one of the oldest funiculars – Ascensor do Lavra – which dates back to the 1880’s
Using the funicular is the easiest way to get to Miradouro do Torel and to Jardim do Torrel, the park.
If a visit to Castelo de São Jorge is already on your list, then use the time to take a look over the city from its Miradouro viewpoint. You can get 360 degree views all over the city as well from its turrets.
The easiest way to get to Castelo de São Jorge is to take the Elevador Castelo lift which is minutes away from Baixa metro stop. It takes you as level up and then you take another smaller lift which is across the road a few streets up. Then it’s a short walk from there.
